JAMIE OLIVER HAS TAKEN BACK OWNERSHIP
Excited is an understatement when we received an invitation from Jamie Oliver to Jamie’s italian in celebration of “The next chapter of Jamie’s Italian Australia”. He is after all how Steph likes to refer to him as..
The Bradd Pitt of food.
Jamie Oliver has recently regained ownership of his 6 Australian Restaurants, that were regrettably bought off him in 2016 by collapsed hospitality group Keystone. The visit down under was going to be a big one undoubtedly with more than 20 years worth of fans under his belt. The line out the door for the media launch at Jamie’s Italian backed this theory up.
So what was it like to see such a man in the flesh?.. We can safely say that age has done no harm to Jamie with his good looks still intact. While he spoke to the crowd at ease, we particularly enjoyed not only his confidence but that dreamy English accent. He talked with great emotion about gaining back ownership of his Australian Restaurants, expressing such passion like this we were left even more dreamy eyed than before. We can safely confirm once being in the same room as him that he is even more inspiring, handsome, down to earth and an all time legend as he has already been perceived as.
So what’s in the pipeline for his Australian restaurants? Well they have already made some great additions to the menu which includes Spicy Sausage Fusilli, Truffle Tagliatelle, Rib eye steak, Super food salad, Julietta pizza and Salumi bruschetta. This is only the beginning though he stated, there are bigger and better things coming to Australia. (WILL HOLD YOU TO IT!)
Quick Facts we learnt last night from being in the same room as Jamie Oliver:
- People are dead set obsessed with him – to the point we knew he had finished mingling upstairs due to the surge of people that followed him back down the stairs.
- Naked Chef is about to have it’s 20 year anniversary.
- It’s been nearly 2 decades since his first cookbook came out.
- He is nearly 42 years old
- He has five children
- Not 100% sure but we think he stayed at the QT Sydney.
- He is really supportive of all his Australian suppliers
Well cheers to Jamie, we’re happy you’re back.
